Schoolwide Writing Initiative
"Getting every grade on the same page, literally."
The challenge
Teachers were pulling from all kinds of different writing resources, so what kids learned in one grade didn't always line up with the next.
My leadership
As part of the Building Leadership Team, I built a shared Kโ5 writing resource hub, researching what works, organizing the materials, and walking staff through how to use it so everyone had the same strong tools all year.
The impact
Teachers got consistent, ready-to-use resources, grade levels collaborated more, and writing instruction across the building finally felt connected.
