Data & Intervention Systems
"Using data to help kids, not label them."
The challenge
Good intervention starts with really understanding a student. Data should do more than flag who's struggling, it should point to what actually helps.
My leadership
As a Reading Intervention Specialist, I dig into multiple sources, Acadience benchmarks and progress monitoring, i-Ready diagnostics, and QRI assessments, to figure out what each student needs, then design small-group interventions aligned with the Science of Reading. I monitor progress, adjust with teachers, and feed what I learn back into our MTSS decisions.
The impact
Plans become individual, measurable, and responsive. Teachers make better instructional calls, and kids get the support that helps them actually become readers.
